MOST CONVENIENT WAYS TO GET TO LVIV FROM EUROPE
Since Lviv is a Ukrainian city and Ukraine is not a part of the European Union it’s been quite hard to get to Lviv due to the absence of budget airlines and huge queues of buses and cars on the border with Poland. But since recently the situation changed. Now getting to Lviv is easy and cheap from many places in Europe.
Getting to Lviv by plane
Several budget airlines that are well known in Europe fly to Lviv nowadays. And the prices are very affordable almost all year around and may get a bit higher during the festive period.

Flights fares start from less than GBP 10 one way. And on average if the price of the ticket is even a bit higher than the tickets to other stag – do destinations groups still save money on cheap activities. Another advantage of coming to Lviv by plane is the short distance from the airport to the city. The whole road should take you not longer than 30 minutes by taxi and during the low traffic times of the day it will be even quicker.
Getting to Lviv by train
You can get to Lviv by train from Europe or from other cities in Ukraine. If you decide to go from Europe there is a very convenient connection between the city on the Polish side of the border called Przemysl and Lviv. The whole road takes about two hours and the main advantage is that the train doesn’t stop on the border for the customers control. Your documents and personal belongings are checked whilst the train is moving.
If you go to Lviv from another Ukrainian cities there are a lot of trains to choose from. Sleeper trains are good, fun and cheap. There are also day express seater – trains that will bring you to Lviv from Kyiv in five to six hours.

Getting to Lviv by car
It is also possible to get to Lviv by car but it might be difficult due to the unpredictable length of queues between Ukraine and Poland or Belarus. Sometimes the waiting time may take up to 24 hours which makes this way of travelling the most inconvenient and time consuming.
